How text bundles work and how to top up
Texts cost money to send, so they come out of a balance you top up when you need to. You only pay for what you use, and the credits never run out with time.
What does a bundle cost?
Bundles are a one-off payment, not a subscription. At the time of writing they are:
- 100 texts for £7.99
- 500 texts for £34.99
- 1000 texts for £59.99, which works out at about 6p a text
Prices can change, so the Texts page always shows today's price and the cost of each text. You need the Standard plan or above to use texts.
How to top up
- In the left menu, under Events and money, click Texts.
- Check Your text balance. It shows how many texts are left and how many you used in the last 30 days.
- Under Buy texts, pick the bundle that suits you.
- Pay with the PayPal button. You can use a PayPal account or any card.
- Wait for the page to confirm. Your balance goes up straight away.
- Scroll to Recent texts and Top ups to see what you have bought and what has been sent.
If you do not see a PayPal button under a bundle, it will say "Ask us to add these to your account". Open a ticket from Help and we will add them.
What uses a credit?
One credit per text sent. A message over 160 characters uses two. The test text costs one credit too. Emails are free.
Running low
When you are down to 10 texts, we email you. We email again if you hit zero. At zero, confirmations and reminders by text stop until you top up. Emails still go out.

Questions people ask
Do text credits expire?
No. The Texts page says they never expire, so you can buy a bundle for a busy season and use it over time.
I paid but my balance has not changed.
Open a ticket from Help with the time you paid and we will add the texts. The page shows this message if PayPal cannot confirm a payment.
Which bundle should I buy?
The bigger the bundle, the cheaper each text. If you only send reminders, count your bookings in a normal month and buy enough to cover it.
Is there a monthly fee for texts?
No. You pay for the bundle once and use it as you go. Your plan is separate.
