How to take a phone booking
Half your bookings may still come by phone. If they are not in Nabsie, your online diary will say you are free when you are not. Put them in as you take them. It takes under a minute.
Passo a passo
- Go to Today or Bookings and press Add booking. On the Day view the link is under the date.
- Enter the Date, Time, Party size and Name. Add a Phone number so you can ring them back.
- Email is optional. If you add one, you can tick Email the customer a confirmation and they get their booking by email, with add to calendar buttons.
- Use Requests for things like a high chair or a birthday. Use Allergies for anything the kitchen must know. Allergies show up in red on the booking and on the kitchen screen.
- Under Taken by, pick Phone, Walk in or Other. You can also add tags to the booking.
- Press Add booking. Nabsie finds a table that fits and shows a message with the booking reference.
If there is no table free
Nabsie will tell you if nothing fits. If you still want to take the booking, tick Book anyway, even if no table is free. The booking goes in with no table assigned, so you can sort it out on the day.
Quicker from the floor plan
On the live Floor plan, tap a free table to take a phone booking or seat a walk in. That needs Standard.

Perguntas frequentes
Do phone bookings use up my monthly limit?
On the Free plan, yes: every booking counts, including phone, walk in and floor plan bookings. On Standard and Pro, no: only bookings that come in through your online booking page count, and phone, walk in and floor plan bookings are free.
Can I add a booking for a time we are closed?
Staff bookings ignore the usual booking rules, such as minimum notice. They are still checked against your tables, unless you tick the book anyway box.
Can I change a phone booking later?
Yes. Open it and press Edit booking. You can change the date, time, party size and notes.
Does the customer need an email address?
No. A phone number is enough. They only get an email confirmation if you give one.
