Write a Fair Cancellation Policy
Set an online cut-off, clear booking terms and a matching deposit release time.
Transcript
A cancellation policy isn't there to catch people out. It's so everyone knows the rules before the night. Here's how to set a fair one in Nabsie. First, decide your cut-off. Say twenty four hours for dinner. Open Booking rules, choose Customers can cancel online up to, and press Save. After that, the cancel link stops working and guests are asked to ring. Next, go to Booking page look and write your policy in Booking terms. Keep it short and plain, and only say what you'll really do. Guests tick to agree when they book. This isn't legal advice, so check any charges with your own adviser. On Pro, open Deposits and set release if they cancel at least hours before, to match your policy. When someone doesn't turn up, open the booking and press No show. You can always release a card hold yourself, when someone has a good reason. Finally, make a test booking and read the confirmation email. The cut-off and terms are on every plan. Start free at nabsie.com.
