Mark Guests Arrived or No Show

Tick guests off as they arrive, and handle no shows, including card holds.

Transcript

Ticking guests off as they arrive keeps your records right, and it only takes a tap. Here is how. On Today, find the booking and press Open. When the guests walk in, press Mark arrived. The booking is marked as arrived, and it helps the owner see who really turns up. You can also do it from the floor plan. Tap the table, and press Seat them. Then it shows as seated for everyone on shift. If a guest does not turn up, wait a sensible time. Many venues give fifteen minutes, but ask your manager what yours does. Try ringing them first, using the Call button. If you cannot reach them, press No show. Be careful with card holds. If a booking has Charge and Release card hold buttons, pressing No show charges their card straight away. Check with a manager first. You can see a deposit or hold under Payment in the booking details. Open the booking and press Back to confirmed. That puts the status back, but it does not give back a card charge. A manager or the owner needs to refund that. That is arrived and no show in Nabsie.
