Turn times and joining tables
Two settings stop you double booking a table or turning big groups away. Turn time is how long a table is held. Combining lets two tables be used for one large party.
Quick answer. Set turn times under Turn times, and your table groups and the combining tick box under Tables, both in the Your venue group. Both are on every plan. Joining tables by hand from the live floor plan needs Standard.
Adım adım
- Choose Turn times under Your venue.
- Each row says Parties up to a number of people, and how many minutes they hold the table. For example, up to 2 people for 90 minutes, up to 6 for 120. Leave the last row's number blank so it covers every bigger party. Use Add a rule for more rows, then save.
- Open Tables. Add each kind of table with a Name (optional), Seats and How many. For example, five 2 seaters and ten 4 seaters. Press Add tables.
- Further down the same page, tick Allow combining two tables for large parties and press save. A party too big for one table can then be placed on two.
- Set the Largest party online. Bigger groups are asked to ring you. Use Smallest party online and Max covers per service if you need them.
- On the live Floor plan, tap a booked table and choose Join with. To undo it, press Split tables.
Extra time on the night
The turn time is a rule of thumb. Staff can give a table longer when they book it from the floor plan, by choosing a length under For. In the editor you can also give one table its own Time limit.
